This model is based on a slight variation of the Birdbase. I got the idea for it during a boring lecture. |
Start with a Preliminary Base the open end pointing to yourself.

1. Valley fold one layer of paper upwards. Repeat on the other side.

2. Swing one flap over. Repeat on the other side.

3. Petal fold. Repeat on the other side.

4. Swing the flap down. Repeat on the other side.

5. Swing one flap over. Repeat on the other side.

6. Valley fold one flap downwards. Repeat on the other side.

7. Sink the top point.

8. Inside reverse fold the two points from the bottom upwards. Fold only the long flaps pointing down!

9. Inside reverse folds to form head and tail.

10. Inside reverse fold the tail into itself. Swing the wing back up again. Repeat on the other side.

11. You can leave the chicken as it is now, folding the wings a little bit down. I like it better with a slight variation of the tail.
Valley fold the back forwards. This will cause another fold on the tail (see the dashed line on the tail).
